Wedding and Family Reunion in Estes Park

Just returned from a wonderful time in cool and beautiful northern Colorado. My cousin Michael and his bride Danielle tied the knot in Estes Park in front of their adoring family. We made the drive (14 hours) and settled into one of the cozy little cabins at the YMCA Camp of the Rockies. My aunt had reserved cabins for everyone on the compound, so all the family were in one place -- perfectly situated for spending lots of time with each other. My dad and his brother and sister hadn't been together as a trio since 1967. That is much too long, and we are all hoping that a reunion redux can be accomplished next summer.

Mom and C couldn't make the trip because C is a freshman in college now and had classes to attend. Mom stayed behind to make sure all of C's needs were met while the posse took to the road. We missed them very much.

Thank you, Aunt Karen, for organizing such a wonderful family reunion. Guess we need to start planning now for the 2011 reunion, right?
